74 New Briggate Planning and Heritage Statement, Leeds

Paul Butler Associates prepared a planning and heritage (PPS 5) statement to support planning and listed building consent applications for the residential conversion and refurbishment of the vacant upper floors of a grade II listed former public dispensary building on New Briggate, Leeds.

Following archival research into the building’s history and a detailed visual inspection of its interior and exterior, the statement assessed the relative historical, architectural and social significance of the building before assessing the potential impact of the proposed conversion and refurbishment works on its significance. 

The statement concluded that the proposed works would be sympathetic to building’s significance and would help to secure its long-term future.
