Whitehaven Heritage and Design Series

Paul Butler Associates led the production of a series of heritage and design documents for Whitehaven's town centre.
We prepared a character appraisal and a management plan for the town centre's two conservation areas and these were supported by a set of site-specific development guides and a public realm appraisal.
The local community were involved throughout the project and we organised a series of consultation events including an evening walkabout and an open-air public exhibition and design workshop.
