Paul Butler Associates prepared a heritage appraisal to investigate the archaeological, historical and architectural interest of a former bolt works at Collier Brook Industrial Estate, Bag Lane, Atherton.
Now grade II listed, the complex was found to be historically significant but in a state of considerable disrepair. The appraisal detailed a series of heritage principles to inform the future regeneration of the complex and included a strategy for the sensitive redevelopment of the site’s listed buildings.
