Hospital Scheme Travel Plan, Chesterfield
Turning Point
Paul Butler Associates prepared a travel plan for two independent hospitals at a site near Chesterfield on behalf of Turning Point, the UK's leading health and social care organisation.
The hospitals will provide supported accommodation for local people with mental health disabilities and will help these people to gain independence and integrate into their communities.
The travel plan was essential for the discharge of one of the conditions attached to the scheme’s planning approval and set out a coordinated package of measures to encourage staff, visitors and residents to travel and from the site using healthy and sustainable travel modes.
The practice’s Travel Plan Team is working with Turning Point to review the travel plan annually and ensure that it achieves its targets.
