Paul Butler Associates secured planning permission for the conversion of Victoria and Elizabeth Mills in Houldsworth Park Conservation Area in Reddish after overcoming a series of planning and conservation issues.
Houldsworth Park is a mid-nineteenth century model industrial village and, although unlisted, the two mills make a significant contribution to the conservation area's special character.
The scheme, which includes 538 apartments, was the winner of 'Best Conversion Project' at the Manchester Evening News (MEN) Property Awards.
